Although Tijs Verwest from Breda, Netherlands isn't the household name on the electronic music scene, I'm sure there's no decent reveler anywhere on the globe, who hasn't heard of Tiësto. Well, the 38 years old king of trance is the guy behind some of the greatest projects in the music history. He maybe is megalomaniac, but he seems to be very down to Earth. Although he performs about 150 times per year, his still personally in charge of his business projects and relies only on his closest friends.
But, what's most important, Tiësto isn't just a hybrid of efficient German manager with the organization skills of mafia don. He's also a great deejay and excellent author. His new album Elements of Live is mixture of old Lethal Industry Tiësto combined with more soulful and vocal sound already presented on track such as Loves Comes Again. This is the hottest mainstream dance records of the season so far (something like Deep Dish's Georg Is On), so don't be surprised if he gets a Grammy or two next spring.
