Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Rabbe are the guys behind Extrawelt project. They are widely appreciated by their electronic sound that is richly structured and full of atmospheric sounds. It wouldn’t be fair (to any of them) to compare Extrawelt to Booka Shade or M.A.N.D.Y., but if you don’t know Extrawelt but know the sound of previously mentioned Berlin based duos, there’s a big chance you’ll like Extrawelt too. I’ve met Arne and Wayan in Ljubljana at the launch of Umek’s new project 1605 in the middle of May and I must say they are really great guys to hang out with.
