2011 was a great year for SLAM. Their label, Soma, celebrated its 20th anniversary, culminating in a triple album release and label parties around the world. They played a big part in Drumcode's 15th Anniversary releases & parties, with memorable Live sets at the SW4 Festival and Awakenings. Other Live Slam dates included Mayday, Timewarp, and T In The Park festival, and a fine series of DJ gigs like Berghain, Watergate, Space, the Loft, the Rex and Cocoon alongside their residencies at Fabric and Pressure.
Releases on their Paragraph imprint included the tremendous Chasing Shadows and The Tritonewhile Drumcode saw the release of Slam tracks such as Area 51 Night Train and Crowded Room. which was also used at the Official Aftermovie for Timewarp. 2012 is set to be another bright year for Slam, with their collaborative Alliances project which will be announced soon, alongside a compilation album of their many recent singes and remixes. They have also just finished a special remix of Paperclip People - Throw for Planet-E, and Soma plans to release a pair of massive remixesfrom Carl Craig & KiNK of theSlam classic, Azure.
